Terms of Service

By accessing and using Lobbi ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

Lobbi is a civic engagement platform for the Jersey community to discuss political issues, share perspectives, and engage with elected officials and fellow residents.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lobbi. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

While Lobbi is focused on Jersey civic issues, users from anywhere may participate in discussions.

You agree to use Lobbi in accordance with our Community Guidelines. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

• Post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
• Share false or misleading information presented as fact
• Engage in personal attacks, doxxing, or sharing others' private information
• Post spam, engage in vote manipulation, or use the Platform deceptively
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Post content that violates Jersey law or UK law
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

You retain ownership of all content you post on Lobbi.

By posting content, you grant Lobbi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform. This allows us to show your posts, comments, and contributions to other users.

You represent that you have the right to post all content you submit and that your content does not violate any third-party rights.

Lobbi reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

We employ a tiered moderation system:

• Warning: First offense for minor violations
• Temporary Ban: Serious or repeated violations (duration varies)
• Permanent Ban: Severe violations or persistent pattern of misconduct

Users may report content they believe violates these Terms. All reports are reviewed by moderators, but Lobbi is not obligated to take action on every report.

Your use of Lobbi is subject to our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your information as described in that policy.

Anonymous Posting: Where available, anonymous posting allows you to contribute without revealing your identity. However, we may still collect technical information (IP address, device info) for security and moderation purposes.

User Content: Content posted by users represents their own views and does not represent the views of Lobbi. We do not endorse any user content.

No Guarantees: The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

Not Legal or Professional Advice: Information on Lobbi is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered legal, financial, or professional advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lobbi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

You may delete your account at any time. Lobbi reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason.

Upon account termination, your content may remain visible on the Platform but will be anonymized (no longer associated with your username).

Lobbi may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey and the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Jersey.
